HAHAha karen.. you're being random..
i wonder if your zhonghua toothpaste has a begonia leaf on it. begonia flavour toothpaste hmmm... anyway, was at work yesterday and was looking up translation for plant names and guess what i came across... 诸葛菜! what the heck... i can't figure out why they name the plant after zhu ge liang, but this is what it looks like ![]() if anyone found out how that plant got its name let me know hahaha.. was buying souvenirs for my nanjing studio group mates who came to sydney from nanjing for the exhibition and came across spastic stickers. there's this particular one that shows this bored man smoking in a corner and the caption reads: 'If i give a shit, you will be the first I give it to' get it? hahahahhah i laughed so hard at the convenience store... too bad i didn't have a picture of it. should go back and buy hahahha.. was doing research on my design site and came across this funny website.. http://siologen.net/pbase/thumbnails.php?album=1 there's this group of people who call themselves cave clan and they go around all the deserted industrial buildings (power station, wheat silos etc etc) and explore them and have fun. they will go around wearing head lights and explore drains and etc.. very very odd but at the same time quite funny.. can you imagine doing that in singapore? the closest thing that i've heard is the ghost buster team who went around looking for ghost in abandoned buildings like old changi hospital hahhaha.. actually that thing sort of reminds me of this this documentary that i read before on rome's aqueducts. the entire drainage system underground is an amazing heritage item, a legacy left by the roman empire. this team of archeologists have been walking and exploring that system in an attempt to map the entire system. amazing! anyway did any of you watch tian leng jiu hui lai? clarence is watching tomorrow. seriously wonder if he'll understand it. but he bought the soundtrack way before so think he educated himself with the chinese terms already haha.. anyway, the theme song tian leng jiu hui lai is super nice (he sent me the soundtrack la that's why i know) and think all of us would have heard it before, it;s one of those songs we grew up with. in fact the entire album were songs that i grew up with but forgotten. anyway, check it out, the song was sung by kit chan originally. very moving lyrics.. http://news.xinhuanet.com/audio/2003-08/05/content_1010750.htm http://www.93mv.com/down/JMMRIQCPE.htm wa wa never wrote such a long post for ages.. anyway ru, why are you asking me bout mooncakes? getting into the business?? you know, after seeing ru's video for karen, i had this thought.. wouldn't it be nice if each one us occasionally make videos of the places that we visit and enjoy? karen can make one in beijing, i make one in sydney, ru make one in korea and we can all share ahhahah...randomness.. okies, going to wash my hair.. very itchy. raining very heavily, very rare for sydney! feels like a monsoon in sg.. |
